Bollywood movies that work as a mood lifter!

Being a big fan of Bollywood since my childhood, I go to Netflix to look for a B-movie every time I want to calm my soul and heart. I still remember my first Bollywood movie Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and how I almost convinced my parents to change my name to Nandini. Lol. Thank God.

Here, I have compiled a list of movies that I have watched for more than 10 times now and can rewatch anytime with a good company and good food. ๐Ÿ˜€

1. Jab We Met

I donโ€™t think if there is any Bollywood movie which is as good as this. Having watched it for 50+ times, I can challenge that I remember each and every dialogue by heart. My friends say that I am Geet by heart. Am I? Looking forward to miss my train! ๐Ÿ˜€

2. Kal Ho Na Ho

A KJo movie! It is debatable to say that if true love is like of Aman who let his love go just to keep her happy or like of Rohit who accepted Naina despite knowing that she didnโ€™t love him. I am a fan of this movie for the emotions it has shown! Amazing music, amazing characters and amazing cinematography. Also, canโ€™t get over this line – Chahe jo tumhe poore dil se, milta hai vo mushkil se. Aisa jo koi kahin hai, bas vohi sabse haseen hai. True, isnโ€™t it?

3. Dil Chahta Hai

I regret watching this movie a little late in my life. The friendship, the fun, the romance and the emotions it depicts are just worth mentioning. I wasnโ€™t a Goa fan until I watched this movie.

4. Dear Zindagi

I am so proud of Bollywood that there exits a movie like this. You donโ€™t need anything to get over your sad mood, just watch this movie. Tbh, I find first 30-40 minutes until the entry of Dr. Jehangir Khan. ๐Ÿ˜› If you are having a sad mood tonight, switch off the lights and put on your earphones to enjoy Jug teaching you a little about life. ๐Ÿ™‚

5. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

A must watch! It talks about life and how important it is to enjoy each and every moment. It talks about promises made to your friends. It talks about relationships. It talks about everything. If you havenโ€™t watched it until now, go watch it and if you already have, you can always rewatch it.

There are many many more movies. Queen, YJHD, My Name is Khan, Dil Dhadakne Do, Socha Na Tha, Khoobsurat, Veer Zaara, Lagaan, Taare Zameen Par, Raanjhana, Lakshya, etc. that you should watch the next time you are in a mood of watching something good and light. I am sure that I havenโ€™t even covered 5% of the movies but it can give you a start if you are new to Bollywood. Meanwhile, I will keep updating the list. ๐Ÿ™‚

P.S. I have only watched a few Bollywood movies that were released before 1994 and hence canโ€™t put them in my list.
